"I like the authority of black, it’s severity, it’s obviousness, it’s radicalism. It’s powerful ability of contrast provides an intense presence to all colors and when it illuminates the darkest colors, it gives them a somber grandeur. Black has unimagined possibilities and, attentive to that which I do not know, I am going to find them."

Meet Theophilus London

If you know me then you know that I am a very big Theophilus London fan/supporter so naturally I was excited to say the least to see that StylelikeU got the chance to sit down with him and chat. Definitely worth watching.

Because it is impossible for me to constantly update my blog with every show during fashion week in New York, London, Milan, and Paris I decided to just do a little post of some of my favorite collections during the Fall 2012 season. They are in no particular order but each of these 7 collections really stood out to me and I enjoyed them very much. What were your favorite collections?

"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people. Unfortunately, that’s too rare a commodity."
